Artist Bio Tito Sebastiani I have always had an interest in art, though I have no formal training. During my 34 years in the corporate world, creating art was a catharsis from the corporate world's demands for success. Upon retirement in 2002, I began working full time at creating art using new and unexpected media wherever possible. Lacking the formal training, I also lacked the discipline of boundaries. Anything was fair game. So it is with my art. I create because I believe I am inspired and hope God is pleased with my return of His gift. If He's happy and I'm happy, what more could I possibly hope to for? To have someone purchase my work is simply icing on the cake; neither expected nor required to fulfill my desire to create. Native American art has always been of interest to me, and I now enjoy being a student of their culture. I am so impressed with their history and lore, and amazed at their insight for protecting the resources of Mother Earth, their great sense of spirituality and their gentleness as a people, which was never depicted in the old Westerns. My work is an attempt to represent the detail of their lore, and is not intended to suggest authenticity in any manner. - March 2003, Featured artist - Phoenix Home & Garden Show, Phoenix Civic Center. - April 2006, Awarded 1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons for 2 dimensional copper sculptures - Southeast Arizona Fine Art and Photography Show. - April 2006, Sponsor's Award from Mr. Tony Cohorn, Head of Indian Affairs,Chiricahua Regional Museum & Research Center, Willcox, Arizona - August-November 2008, Featured Artist Thunderbird Hospital Gift Shop - September 2008, Vice President WHAM, What's Happening Art Movement - September 2008, Juried to AAA Arizona Art Alliance - October 2008, 1st place ribbon for Spirits of the Chiefs, Thunderbird Hospital Fall Arts Festival - November 2008, 1st Place Award - Sculpture Arizona Art Alliance Show, Fountain Hills, Arizona - April 2009, Merit Award - Wall Hanging Art Alliance Show, Peoria, Arizona
